CreativeLive recently asked me to choose one of their classes and post a review about it. I say recently, but the truth is that it has taken some time for me to be able to sit down and watch the class I chose. I chose something because the topic really interested me and although I have only watched the Introduction and the segment on what I really wanted to learn, I have already learned enough from this series of videos to more than pay for itself.
The class I chose is called Instagram Marketing for Small Businesses with Sue B. Zimmerman, a true Instagram expert!
In this three-day course, Sue teaches teach you how use Instagram to brand your business and engage new and existing customers.
After an overview of the many ways to share photos and videos, use hashtags, and connect directly with your customers, you will learn how to create compelling content that will engage viewers and spark conversation. Yes, hashtags will finally make sense to you!
Sue covers everything from the basics of using Instagram to how to share content across platforms.
In addition to the 29 sessions, Sue also provides a number of PDF documents with detailed instructions on how to share to Facebook and Twitter, and how to choose where on Facebook you share. She includes an extensive listing of hashtags you can use to attract important people to your posts.
What I love about CreativeLive is that you can get all of their content for free by simply tuning in live — watch live for free. If you want to be able to watch the classes at your leisure and have access to them in the future, you can buy the classes. They also have previews of their classes so you can get an idea of the style of the instructor, what types of things will be covered and what you can expect.
I haven’t finished my Instagram class yet, but I have already attracted 37 new followers since watching and implementing some of Sue’s suggestions this morning. I only had just over 400 to start with so this is almost a 10% increase in just a few hours.
Oh yes, CreativeLive has classes on so many other topics as well. For years, I was terrified of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Now that I have a few CreativeLive classes under my belt, I feel pretty confident using both programs. The most important thing is that I learned enough to get very comfortable and now I know exactly where to go when I need to learn more. My photography and Lightroom skills have also improved significantly thanks to the classes I took on CreativeLive. There is so much more!
Also, they have question and answer sessions with the live audience, but they also take questions from those who are tuning in live. You can get your questions answered while you watch.
You just can’t go wrong with CreativeLive classes.
